★ Dementia ★

[ male ] [ Demon ] [ Timeless ] [ Since the Banging ] [ Pain and Suffering ] [8’0”] [ 455 lbs ]

"I could be real, or I could but just in your head. It won't make any difference to you."

Dementia is nothing like the demons of Elderan. He is pure, unadulterated evil. Dementia is as timeless as the laws of nature. Some say he is a law of nature. You can't reasons with a being such a this. He experiences no love, no joy, no suffering, at least not the way we do. His mind is too alien for use to relate to or even comprehend. Dementia can walk trough realms and planes of existence the same way other being walk through doors.

Dementia stole one of Veah’s eyes when she was a little girl. He transported it to his realm, where he keeps it on display. Sometimes he picks up the eye and plays with it, which is a very painful experience for Veah, even now. Dementia also kidnapped Veah’s family. It is unclear whether they are still alive or not.

Dementia takes healthy people and turn them into ones contorted by pain and suffering. He scoffs has he watches them crawl there way out of hell on their own. He will torture you and your entire family, and masturbate on their dead bodies. He gets his kicks by picking away at the sanity of mortals in our world. Dementia experiences no guilt. He comes and goes as he pleases. He is untouchable in his realm. When Dementia does come into our realm he can be struck down, but only then. This have never been done before. Dementia can also inhabit the minds of others and play them like puppets. Dementia doesn't kill his victims, for the most part, because he likes to see them suffer. There is reasoning with a being this evil. No one knows why he does this, or what his goals are.

★ Umbriel U. Fermore ★
[ Female ] [ Human ] [ 26 ] [ June 5th ] [ Straight ] [ 6’0” ] [ 120 lbs ][a+]

“Untold numbers of beautiful things in life are covered in a layer of grime, and just as many of the putrid things are glazed with the illusion of allure.”

Umbriel U. Fermor is a headstrong, aristocratic born lady of 26. She has never gone hungry, and never been without at least 12 personal maid servants. Umbriel lives in Erebus, the land of perpetual darkness. Her society has lived there so long that their skin had developed bioluminescent properties. They also must live entirely on seafood and meat, because they can’t grow vegetables. Their food is fermented and salted instead of cooked, because there is no wood to burn. She is both the Ruler of country and the commander and chief of their military. She is the most respected person in Erebus, and the most wanted war criminal in Aydon. All the ladies adore her. All the little girls want to be her. All the little boys also want to be her. All the men want to get under her petticoats.

She was there when the first shot of the Erebusi/Aydonin war was fired. Some accounts say she made the first shot. Umbriel’s only comment on that matter is “History is subjective”. In any case, the Aydonin military is out to have her drawn, quartered, decapitated, and have her head placed on a pike. Preferably this head bedecked pike will go right next to Ganymede’s head bedecked pike. The Aydonin military had almost had her, twice but both attempts were “foiled by sargent Tros-- that donkey philandering traitor.” Umbriel claims that she “Had everything under control. Thanks, but no thanks.”

Umbriel got to where she is today by grabbing patriarchy by the balls-- literally. From an early age she developed her talent in military strategy through a game called Stardust. Her other hobbies include playing, learning about foreign cultures, looking fabulous and exploiting men. Umbriel in fluent in Erebusi and Aydonin. At the age of 15 she had already usurped the kings throne and became ruler of her country, but not until after he had done a hell of a job screwing everything up and starting a war with Aydon. Now she spends the rest of her career trying to pick up the mess he left. Umbriel is easily the most competent Erebusi monarch ever, possibly the most competent person ever in the entire history of everything. She approaches almost every task with %100 confidence and grace, and leaves it with even more competence and grace.

Umbriel is not without her emotional scars, however. Her later success can be linked to a past of trauma. When she was married to the king, without her consent. No one knows exactly what happened between the two, but king Proteus wound up usurped, in prison and testicaless. Umbriel has always been emotionally detached from everyone ever since. Occasionally this emotional trauma comes back to haunt her. She relieves this trauma by picking up some sorry chap much younger than her herself, making him fall madly in love her, then crushing his heart into a million peices. This is great fun, because “Sensitive guys are irresistible to a woman of power.” She is armed with sex appeal and is not afraid to use it on any unsuspecting victim. After she has used them she kicks her victim to the curb. She never has any feelings for them anyway.

Umbriel does have feelings for one person, however, Ganymede. He is foreign, adorkable, an emotional train wreck and just barely legal. In other words, he is her idea of perfection. There is one problem that keeps them apart, however. As cruel fate would have it, the only guy in the world she has not been able to seduce, is also the only guy in the world he has feelings for. Ganymede himself is only interested in one person; “Rhea, that bitch! Pardon me. I mean, fine young lady.” Umbriel cannot fill the void in her heart, no many how many other 18 year old boys she has one-night-stands with. Umbriel will, never admit these feelings, however. To show them would be “a sign of weakness”.

Umbriel is a proper lady. She does not have body odor. She does not have bowel functions. She will never ever EVER swear. When she does swear, she promptly apologizes. If you do not refer to her as “My Lady” or “Your Highness” or “Your Majesty” or “Commander and Chief” she will have her guards escort you out. If your name is Ganymede, “please call me Bri”.

Umbriel has traveled to Elderahn to find her “knight-in-fucking-shining-armour. Where the hell has he run off to?”

★ Ganymede J. Tros ★
[ Male ] [ Human ] [ 18 ] [ April 25th ] [ Confused ] [ 5’6” ] [ 138 lbs][o-]

"According to conditional probability after each one of you falls your odds decrease, and given 5 of the 9 of you have fallen, it takes at least 6 tries to succeed. So your odds of survival ⅙ or 16 percent. Isn't math fun?”

Once upon a time Ganymede had a passion for wandering in ancient ruins and a lust for technology long forgotten, but this was quickly snuffed out of him by a society that places little value in such ventures. He still carries around a mysterious Ancient artifact in the hopes that one day he will find a way to unlock it’s contents. He lived with his mother and little sister in a one room cottage in the country for the first 17 years of his life. They where no strangers to poverty. As a child he was called "ignorant, dirty peasant" often by people of a higher social status then him. Ganymede comes from the nation of Aydon, also know as the land of light.

On his 18th birthday he was drafted into the military to fight in the Erebus/Aydonin war.  He tried very hard and failed even harder at being the fearsome warrior society demand of him. Machismo comes about at naturally to him as flight does to Junebug-- all his attempts at it inevitably end in crashing. Despite the warrior guise he is deep down a pacifist-- partly because he big heart, but mostly because the sight of anyone else’s blood makes him faint. The other soldiers in his company found it very amusing to exploit this fact. The rest of the time they were teasing him for being short and looking like girl. He has been knighted by Umbriel, the Queen of Erebus, for saving her life, but according to Ganymede that was a huge misunderstanding and he doesn't deserve the honor. By the Aydonin military he was discharged  for being a “donkey philandering traitor”, and saving the enemies’ queen, Umbriel. Nowadays his former company is out to put his head on a pike, despite his instance that it’s a misunderstanding.

To cope with his feelings of inadequacy he has developed a sardonic sense of humor and a healthy habit of self loathing in addition to the already present teen angst. He claims that he doesn't have any talents whatsoever, but everyone knows he is full of shit. He can intuitively decipher anything written in code or another language with almost no effort on his part. Despite receiving no education he taught himself to read his native language, Aydonin, then he went on to unlock the forgotten and dead language, Ancient. This ability is purely based on the probability and frequency of letters, however. When it comes to speaking other langues he is all kinds of awful. All of this "nonsense" does him little good in a mostly illiterate society. He never shares his talent with anyone because it is “useless”. Gany posses allot of esoteric knowledge about really random and specific things. It's "never EVER useful", except when it is. He can summon at will a small mechanical golem of ancient technology named Mimas, and have the little bot repair anything. Ganymede is vary good at using mechanical and technical devises. He could definitely pick the lock on everybody's house in town and steal all their things, but he would never ever be such a jerk. Gany is utterly convinced he is 1 IQ point away from mental retardation. Gany can do math in decimal, binary and vigesimal. "It's easy." he says, "Just use your toes."

Ganymede have big soft heart and an overactive case of empathy, which explains the whole blood and fainting thing. Ganymede will never kill anyone if he can help it. He is often willing to protect others, and will put his own life on the line with reckless abandon. Luck is almost never on Gany’s side. When he gets into a skirmish he always comes out a mess. When he doesn't get into a skirmish he comes out a mess anyway. By all accounts he should be dead by now, but the cruel world seems hell bent on letting him live to suffer another day. Most of the time Gany is a total wuss, but after the initial shock of seeing the first blood in battle he is able  to overcome his inhibitions. He wakes up from the faint a new man. Blood is no longer a problem. Pain? He takes it like a champ. Fear? He sends it running home to it's mommy. Klutziness? Well... that never goes away.

He is cute enough be the next womanizing Casanova, but his bad luck and self defeating lack of confidence ensure he will never get a girlfriend, or even lose his virginity for that matter. Being hit on normally renders him speechless, and a with a face so redshifted that it transcends the visible light spectrum. Gany might also be bisexual, but no one knows for sure-- least of all himself. Many ladies adore him, but as cruel fate would have it, the only one who doesn't is also the only one Gany has fallen hopelessly in love with. His unrequited love for Rhea persists, despite the fact that she is a total jerk to him. Something about her encyclopedic knowledge of swords or her ample bosom has Gany absolutely convinced she is the purest embodiment of perfection. Unfortunately every other male is equally convinced of this fact.

Ganymede is quick to warm up to people, and will confide all of his woes and faults at the drop of a hat. He is not the best judge of character, however, because he assumes everyone is inherently good. Gany never understands the motives of other people, and he understands romance even less. Gany might hug you at an inappropriate time. If you are a man he will call you sir. If you are not a man he will call you sir anyway, but quickly apologize. If you confirm Gany's supposition that he is indeed the most pathetic person on Earth, then he might burst into tears. Afterward he may seek to justify the oxygen he takes from the air by doing some act that is selfless, but also incredibly foolish. Gany is spacey and absent minded. He will almost always be late. He will almost always have forgotten something of dire importance. He doesn't lock the door at night, because he wrongly assumes everyone can pick locks as well as he can.

Ganymede doesn't have many purchased martial possessions, mostly because he never had any money. What little he does have is old, ragged and most likely a hand-me-down. He does however a decent sized collection of ancient artifact, which he found himself, and a bunch of old texts written in ancient. His room is kept in the most chaotic state possible, much like his hair and his scene of dress.  He often loses his stuff among his other stuff, which is probably why he's almost always late. Gany says he will adopt a more ordered life style once he has read every text ever written.

Ganymede traveled to Elderahn to get that free education he was deprived of his homeland. With some education he could finally get a job as a scholar. As of now there are really only two skills in which hes been trained, farming, and being a soldier. He hates both activities equally. Ganymede decided to get a job as an outpost guard, because it was the most applicable to his skill set and potentially less boring than farming. Gany has the technical skill to be a scholar, astronomer or mathematician now, but didn't apply for those jobs. Gany was dead certain he would not get accepted.

Maybe someday he will be able to completely overcome his insecurities, acknowledge he has talents and use his knowledge of ancient technology to bring society out of the dark ages and into a new area of enlightenment. Or maybe he will wet his pants the next time a girl hits on him.

[ Female ] [ Human ] [ 13 ] [ June 15th ] [ Unknown ] [4’9”] [ 85 lbs ][o+]

“Dear diary, it’s really boring... Waiting to die.”

Veah Lost one of her eyes in a tragic accident when she was young, and lost her vision in the other, leaving her completely blind. She refuses to tell anyone what happened. Now she wears bandages over her face and other parts of her body to hide the grotesque scaring and disfigurement. Traumatized by the event, she became extremely timid and reserved, with no ambitions to do anything with her life. Despite being blind she is able to navigate her surrounding vary well, forming a mental picture using the sounds, acoustics of the room, Doppler shift in sound, and smell. She is plagued by pain where her eye used to be. Every single day she experiences what she thought where hallucinations from her sensory deprived brain. Then one day she discovered that some of her hallucinations are real, and she is picking up on hostile demons from a realm that no one but her can see. Unfortunately it can be hard to tell the real demons from her hallucinations. The demons in her head abducted her mother and little brother. Veah never knew her father, so she is left an orphan. Veah must face many internal battles on a daily basis. In addition to a pain in her eye socket and the hallucinations she battles to keep her sanity. She also suffers from post traumatic stress disorder, meaning she will often relive the night she lost her vision, or the moment when her family was abducted. Sometimes she thinks of ending her life to escape the pain. The only thing that keeps her going is the thought that her family could be in trouble.

Veah is not afraid to take a life, and she will do so if she feels threatened. It is very difficult to become friends with her, because her trauma has rendered her emotionally distant and somewhat detached from reality. If you try to speak to her she might tell you to “GO FUCK OFF!” If you try to hug her she might kill you. I wouldn't risk it. She never laughs or smiles at anything. EVER. Unless maybe you come up with a joke so horrendous that even this broken soul can relate to it. Maybe one side of her mouth will then curl up ever so slightly, but this has never been done before. I challenge anyone to find a joke she likes. Veah doesn't handle stressful situations well at all, but considering her normal state is traumatized her stressed out state doesn't appear any different on the outside. She talks to invisible friends, which I guess explains why she doesn't need friends in this world. Some of these friends are real and some are figments of her imagination, but she has no idea which ones are which.

Veah has never experienced romantic love for anyone, nor has anyone ever felt that way towards her. Sometimes she does ponder what she is missing from life without that experience, and would be willing to try it if given half a chance. Veah would never ever try to purse anyone-- she assumes her scares to be too horrific and that no one would ever find her attractive. Veah is blind, so obviously she is not judgmental on appearances. She does however find some voices attractive and others not. Magical beings may cast an aura which she can see with her missing eye. No one knows how she does this, including herself.

Veah keeps her vary few martial possessions tidy with an obsessive compulsion. The only money she has is what was left in her mom's bank account before she went missing. She keeps a diary. The diary is a hard bound cover and each page can be removed and placed back. To write on a page she must remove it and insert it into a braille slate. Then using a stylus she embosses each word in braille from right to left. She then flips the page over and reads the braille text left to right. In her diary she keeps notes about any sightings of demons or paranormal activity. She is constantly updating this diary as she moves into a new area. If you are a demon you can be sure she had your name and all your characteristics written in her diary.

Veah carries no weapons on her whatsoever, however she is very good at using makeshift objects and her environment to thwart her opponents. She might drops some poison in the drink of her opponents. She might take a shard of glass and slit a jugular vein in her villain's sleep, so don’t even begin to underestimate this little girl’s abilities. Veah is vary learned in all matters demonic, satanic and hellish.

Nowadays she is forced to come out of her shell and confront her fears. Veah moves from town to town all on her own to find what has become of her lost family, and overcome demons that torment her.
